From Plangeroß to the Braunschweiger Hut

We almost did not feel our legs after yesterday's 38 km long walk, but as lunch approched, things were getting better, and we headed towards Mitterberg, the last village in the Pitztal valley. Tom Kristian, my cousin, was already there, he was joining us for the last part of the journey, while Mam did the logistical support for us. As usual, the weather was hot as we headed steeply upwards, along a fantastic waterfall and with great views of the glacier. The path was exposed, but the worst places were secured with steel wires. Surprisingly enough we walked fast, and soon we were in the dining room of the hut, enjoying the excellent Austrian food.
